Beyond Bitcoin Study: Which retailers should accept Dogecoin? Survey of 1,001 respondents familiar with cryptocurrencies located in the United States of America. Published by Gamblers Pick in April 2021.
Dogecoin (DOGE) was created in December 2013 as an ironic alternative to traditional cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Litecoin. Dogecoin’s name and logo of a Shiba Inu (Japanese dog) are based on a famous Internet MEME. Unlike Bitcoin, which is limited to the number of 21 million Bitcoins, Dogecoin is designed to be inflationary. There are 10,000 new Dogecoins mined every minute. In addition to that, there is no maximum supply.
